This rare listing features a matched pair of early 20th-century “Ming Ming” style composition dolls depicting Chinese boys, produced during the golden age of Japanese Oriental export toys (circa 1910–1940s). These collectibles showcase charming period craftsmanship with molded open-mouth “singing” faces, upcast eyes, and traditional Asian-inspired costumes. The set includes two approximately 5-inch dolls with contrasting details: one bald doll dressed in a teal tunic with yellow trousers, and a second doll wearing a textured cap with red ear flaps, a red mandarin jacket, and blue trousers. The pair is in good vintage condition overall, displaying wear consistent with age including significant paint loss and pitting on the crown of the bald doll’s head (exposing the white composition base), minor face chipping near the mouth, and slight fraying on costume hems.
