Mid-Century Japanese Ceramic Boston Terrier Fig | VTG Made in Japan Puppy Statue Decor

Description

Step into the charm of mid‑century design with this authentic Japanese ceramic Boston Terrier puppy figurine, crafted during the 1950s–1970s export boom. Captured in a lively play‑bow stance and finished in a high‑gloss bicolor glaze, this piece embodies the playful aesthetic of vintage Japanese giftware. Its sharply defined black saddle markings, creamy off‑white base, and hand‑painted amber eyes make it a standout addition to any retro home decor collection or dog lover’s curated shelf.
The figurine is in good vintage condition, with a fully intact glaze and no visible chips, cracks, or restoration work. As expected from 70+ years of gentle handling, the white areas display a lovely cream patina and mild foxing, while light grime settles naturally in the ear crevices and paw pads. This authentic aging enhances its character and confirms its genuine mid‑century origin. A clear factory “Made in Japan” export stamp remains legible on the base, and the piece is sold exactly as photographed.
Perfect for collectors of Japanese ceramic souvenir ware, vintage dog figurines, or anyone who loves nostalgic mid‑century modern design. It makes a thoughtful, ready‑to‑display accent for entryways, bookshelves, or mantels. I pack every order in sturdy, recycled materials to ensure your new favorite collectible arrives safely and is ready to be admired.
